Today I lost an old and trusted friend. He fought his ailments valiantly for months – subtle club hammer surgery and regular tractor grease enemas but sadly to no avail…
Ten years we’ve been together – a beautiful union of man and machine. Builder and mixer together as one, endlessly churning out muck for me to create and build. Never complaining, never faltering. Today is the end of an era… *sniff* ….
If nothing else I’d like it said that my mixer was a complete tool…
I didn’t surf today.

That’s ‘orrible – he/she/it will be sadly missed. That old mixer of mine is still working – the Paynes have got it now!
Happy memories working with the old mucker
Damn. Sorry for your loss. You’d better take the next day (or two) to surf…er…grieve.
How can you surf on concrete? That’s skateboarding muppet. Not that muppets skateboard because that would be silly – they’re fucking puppets
I expect my grief will be greatly comforted by the arrival of a shiny new mixer (and a surf trip!)
Sometimes SG, during daylight hours I get up and go to work (an alien concept for you I know). Nice to see you beyond the confines of the Big Blogger house btw…
cool, ill be over on Monday to take the old beast away and put it out to pasture in my field by the sea.
10 years? you must have treated it well
Hey DB – it’s going to need some TLC with a welder and a large hammer…
Nursie – I always treat my tools with the utmost respect as do I with whatever my tool is working on…
For goodness sake.
What….?
