A well balanced desktop…

yin yang thumb

Tiggz is a graphical genius. He has been somewhat quiet in the ‘skinning‘ world for a while but is creeping back to his deserved place in the limelight with this very loverly wallpaper (methinks he may be a bit of a hippy behind that dark and mysterious beard).

You can download it here. Say hi when you get there – he’s quite nice for a big brother…

I didn’t surf today.

Chillies anyone…?

chillies

…been doodling again. I originally got the idea for this from a jar of chillies which had a drawing of the same on the label – needless to say they were mighty potent. There was much singing of the late great Johnny Cash the next day…

I was going to use it for the fuelmyblog widget competition but it didn’t quite fit the brief. Luckily the WBC has asked me to use it for their next awards scheme. I believe it will be a randomly place endorsement on blogs that have tickled the CEO’s fancy (or have sent a satisfactory fiscal contribution to blogfam.org – a deserving cause that sends much needed funds to bloggers who have bailliff issues).

You’ll be pleased to know that I kept a tight hold on my breakfast this morning and last nights dinner has been and gone without serious incident or further injury – although it may be several weeks before I get the imprint of the loo seat from my tender buttocks. Even buns of steel need a little tender loving every now and then…

I didn’t surf today. I also didn’t manage to mend the electric windows or aircon in my car.
Sure is hot out there…

I’d like to thank…

Well I’d like to thank my family first – my mother obviously for creating and nurturing me into the man that I am today and for not forcing me to breastfeed into my teens as that would no doubt have caused much trauma in later life. My brother for only throwing one dart into a major artery when I was a frail child and teaching me how to lie down when being slightly beaten so that I learnt respect for my elders and biggers.
Of course I’d like to thank my father so if anyone has his address…

I was voted ‘blog of the day’ on fuelmyblog today (coincidentally on one of the few days that I didn’t vote for myself!) and also became a moderator on their fantastic forum – so any hanky panky on there and I’ll have you banned before you can say ‘floccinauccinihilipilification’.

So I’d like to say ta very much to all and sundry that clicked my widget – may you keep clicking mine and I’ll keep clicking yours… grrr

(I will award myself a loverly badge with ‘blog of the day’ on it but I have to draw one first!)

I didn’t surf today. Except in my tiny mind.

Just a quickie before bed…

This is definitely my last entry into the fuelmyblog widget competition. Feel free to click it on your way past…

click here and fuel my blog

I only did it because Drew was bating me and I thought that maybe at least one should be free from any possible copyright infringement.

You can get the code here.

I didn’t surf today. But I noticed that whatever level is below drivel – my beloved father has reached it…

Stop your ferreting…

mini papersurfer

I’ve put all my recent widgets onto one page with a link in the main menu. Just so’s you don’t have to go ferreting around looking for them! Of course if ferreting around in my archive is what keeps your plimsole line above sea level then please ferret away – I don’t mind.

In fact I thoroughly recommend it…

You could start here and work your way up.

I didn’t surf today.

Blown out of all proportion…

What little surf there was has been utterly decimated by the howling wind that seems to be setting in for the week. Nuts.

So I have taken the opportunity to make another widget for the fuel my blog ‘design a widget competition’ which started today.

The code for this widget is below (don’t forget to put in your full URL including ‘http://’ where it says YOUR_BLOG)

<a href=”http://www.fuelmyblog.com/vote.php?backto=home&vt=fuel&url=YOUR_BLOG“>
<img src=”http://www.papersurfer.co.uk/images/meninblack.png” border=”0″ /></a>

I shall no doubt be throwing myself in the sea fairly shortly even though it looks like a bad day in Hastings out there. Surely it’s better than sitting in a truck in a car park designing widgets. Oh – feel free to click mine on your way through – thanks a whole big bunch…

No surfing yet – 50/50 at the moment…
