’twas the night before Christmas…

nightbefore2.jpg

…when all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

Actually it’s three nights before Christmas, DP and PJ have been playing Sonic Riders like a couple of spotty teenagers and there’s a bunch of drunk blokes overflowing with Christmas cheer on the terrace below. If there was a mouse around and he had any ickle mousey sense he’d have well buggered off by now…

Since landing in sunny Blighty I’ve had 3 mince pies, a can of Strongbow and a miniature Milky Way. As an all round sensory experience things just don’t get better than that. I’m thinking about going mental later and having a glass of wine.

Earlier today I shouldered my way through the stampeding retail cattle that were decimating the Arndale centre to get some prunes and twiglets for the Old Git and some crayons for Uncle Tiggz so I’m feeling fully prepared for the whole Yuletastic extravaganza…

Papersurfer junior has been busy with his artistic skills to bring you a nice pair of Christmas birdies. Enjoy…

I didn’t surf today. Surprisingly.

When my Teen was a pre Teen she did a drawing of me and wrote ‘to the bestits Mum in the world xx’ me being a proud Mum put it up on the wall at work … it was only later that someone (yes a male) pointed out the obvious :-)

The obvious being the spelling, or the…?

Being a papersurfer, I’m not convinced that junior’s choice of birdies was all that unplanned.
