So there I was…

…sitting on the Old Git’s sofa.

I was just finishing off a manicure with my mum’s nail file and reading an article on ‘Hot flush remedies’ (pycnogenol seems like a plausible solution – found in pine bark – probably best to look into the pill form rather than gnawing at the actual tree….) in SAGA magazine (informative periodical for the geriatrically inclined) and it suddenly dawned on me that it really was time to shuffle home…

I didn’t surf today but I did get some top tips on how to avoid heel pain in my 70’s…

  1. Shuffle away. That’s the last time I let you use my ivory with silver inlay manicure set. Although your cuticles are looking really good now.

  2. although the ruby slippers may be out of commission, you can borrow a pair of orthopaedic ones and click those three times. it’s a long shot, but worth a try. beats airports if it works…

  3. thinking you could borrow from your folks… although (sadly) i have orthotic inserts in my running shoes. not sure when i got old, but maybe it’ll stay with just my feet for a few years…

  4. Good advice Twinny – I shall be following that ASAP on my return.

Well Ms 70s – I expect not wearing glittery platform shoes would be a good start…

  5. Good advice Pen but ‘like thats going to happen’! Ok maybe when I am in my 70s (just had a vision of me shuffling to get my pension in massive glittery shoes… eeewww!!)

  6. And not a moment too soon Penfold. I imagine you were quite relieved to make it out of there before the kilt episode.

And 70s – you will no doubt be the only old lady in massive glittery shoes who doesn’t look silly.

me.. it’ll be a glittery bra.

    Rofl
